Clearer purchase options
The product experience brought pricing, quantity options, savings, and subscription choices together so customers could compare their options more easily.
CUSTOM BUNDLE & SUBSCRIPTION EXPERIENCE
Bagan Ayurveda's Three-Step Vitality System could be purchased in several ways, with pricing changing depending on the products, quantities, and purchase option a customer selected.
I helped turn these overlapping pricing and bundle rules into a clearer Shopify purchase journey where customers could shop naturally while the store handled the complexity behind the scenes.
01/The Challenge
Bagan Ayurveda's Three-Step Vitality System gave customers several ways to purchase its core products. They could buy products individually, combine selected products for additional savings, or purchase the complete three-product system.
Each option could also be affected by quantity pricing and subscription choices.
The challenge wasn't simply applying a discount. It was making several overlapping offers behave like one understandable purchasing experience.
Customers shouldn't need to understand the rules behind the offer.
The experience needed to make the correct pricing feel automatic and predictable.
02/The Approach
Rather than requiring customers to understand which bundle or offer they needed to purchase, I designed the experience around the products they selected.
Customers could build their order naturally while the store determined which pricing rules applied.
That created a simpler purchasing flow:
Customer selects products ↓ Check products + quantities ↓ Determine qualifying offer ↓ Individual / Combination / Full System ↓ Apply appropriate pricing ↓ Keep cart + checkout synchronized
This kept the complexity behind the scenes while allowing the customer journey to remain straightforward.
03/The Solution
The product experience brought pricing, quantity options, savings, and subscription choices together so customers could compare their options more easily.
For the complete Three-Step Vitality System, the purchase experience clearly communicated the $149 one-time price and $129 subscription price against the $258 full retail value.
This made the value of purchasing the complete system easier to understand.
When customers combined Shilajit, Ayurvedic Tea, and Wellness Formula, the store could recognize the combination as the complete Three-Step Vitality System rather than treating them only as unrelated products.
Customers could therefore qualify for the intended system offer without needing to rebuild their order around a separate bundle.
The purchasing logic also accounted for customers ordering different quantities of each product.
Qualifying complete sets could be identified while remaining products continued to be handled appropriately outside the set.
As customers added products, removed items, or changed quantities, the cart experience stayed synchronized with the applicable pricing and final order state.
This helped prevent conflicting actions while bundle and pricing changes were being processed.
04/Evolving the Solution
The product page, bundle logic, subscription options, and cart couldn't be treated as separate experiences.
A pricing choice made on the product page needed to remain understandable when the customer reached the cart, while the final cart state needed to carry the correct products and pricing into checkout.
The experience was therefore refined as one continuous journey, from choosing products and understanding savings through to reviewing the final order.
05/Outcome
The new theme launched with a more streamlined purchasing experience for Bagan's core product range.
06/Technical Implementation
The implementation connected product selection, subscription options, pricing rules, and cart behaviour while keeping the customer-facing experience simple.
The implementation focused on keeping pricing and cart behaviour synchronized so customers could move naturally between individual products, qualifying combinations, and the complete Vitality System.
